Internal drawer boxes

As drawers are an essential addition to a kitchen design we wanted to quickly highlight some key features of the ones we tailor-make in our workshop.
All our drawer units have wooden interior drawer boxes, each on Blum soft close runners. The boxes are constructed using dovetail joints, which are a wonderful feature to have visible. We tend to use mostly Ash or Oak for the sides, however, the Birch-ply looks very striking too.
In making the internal drawer box the full height of the drawer front we ensure that the maximum amount of storage space is obtained with each drawer.

The photo shown is proof that the use of wood and traditional joints work well with contemporary materials, such as this Parapan drawer front.

Cabinet knob with backplate

When making handmade kitchens some customers want to make the look more contemporary. An easy way is to put granite worktops on but also the choice of handle or knob is important. Choosing a metal finish rather than a timber finish can bring a kitchen right up to date.

This customer in Wimbledon chose a very nice Chrome knob with a backplate. Finding a nice knob with a backplate was surprisingly difficult but we located a company in London that could source them.
